It is one of those matters where what you see depends on the perspective from which you look at it — the place you choose to stand when doing your looking. (Unlike, for example, the score of a football match, where your viewpoint makes no difference to the score.)
Consequently, to avoid getting into a muddle, it is crucially important when discussing what you see, to be clear about the place you are looking at it from. So long as we can do this, we can avoid talking to each other at cross purposes. “I see X vs. you see Y” … “ah but you are looking from place A whereas I am looking from place B.”
It may well be the case that there is a “one true place” where #whatever “should” be looked at from, and which when stood at we see “reality as it truly is”, but I doubt if humans will be able to agree on where that place is. Famously, the Gods can’t even agree about it, so what chance do we have?
Fortunately, because we are embedded creatures and share a world with each other, this does not stop us from being understood.
